Summary
It was 1877 when the 27-year-old Texas Ranger telegraphed his brother, "We are here with Hardin, all safe. Will be in Austin tomorrow morning. Jack Duncan." He had tracked down the most deadly gunfighter of all time, John Wesley Hardin, and then helped capture him. Duncan's success was due in large measure to his courage and tenacity. Above all else, he was motivated by the promise of the reward money for capturing outlaws with prices on their heads
