Summary
Written as a diary this novel tells the story of a young man named Joseph. Set during the second World War, Jospeh quits his job and prepares for his induction into the army. However a series of mishaps cause a delay in his induction, resutling in a year of idleness Joseph is unprepared for. Seeing war all around him and having no way to cope Joseph expresses his thoughts into his diary
