Summary
"Screen addiction is a behavioral addiction that can cause a variety of problems. Mental health professionals found increases in screen time accompanied increases in the number of teens reporting anxiety, depression, and suicidal thinking. Digital technologies can expose children to bullying; contribute eating disorders; trade off with sleep and exercise; encourage children to negatively compare themselves to others; and can lead to depression and anxiety. A behavioral addiction is a mental health condition in which an individual engages in a particular behavior and is unable to stop engaging in it, even if the behavior causes the person harm"--Provided by publisher
