Summary
Margaret Earle comes to Ashland, Arizona as the new school teacher in the town's old one-room schoolhouse. Even before she arrives she is rescued from the desert by a young man from back East who, while quite a capable cowboy, does not seem to fit in with his rough companions and, she learns, has a troubled past. Despite many obstacles Margaret reforms the school, brings the faith back to the community, helps the young man find his way again, and is rewarded with the love of her life. The missionary couple she meets are the hero and heroine of an earlier Hill romance, The Man of the Desert, also available in World Classics in Large Print
