Summary
This document contains the transcription of a meeting in 1916 between the U.S. Congress House Committee on Indian Affairs and representatives of the Eastern Cherokee Indians. The Cherokee sought to rectify a financial matter, namely that a fund that was meant to provide relief for the Eastern Cherokee Indians were misdistributed, resulting in fewer funds going to those it was originally intended to benefit, while other funds went to those who were never meant to benefit.
