Summary
Twenty years ago, vampire Erik Winslow made a pact with the leader of the local vampire population -- no violence at all against either side's family. But when the leader's brother is found dead, Erik has only three days to clear his name and find the killer before the vampires attack his brother Gerard and Gerard's family. Erik has spent the last four hundred years protecting humans, but he's willing to sacrifice one life for that of his family. But he never expected this cold blooded killer to be a woman, much less the absolutely stunning woman he knew years ago ... Kacie wants nothing to do with vampires. She grew up hunting them, but she's spent the last six years trying to forget they exist. Her only goal is to heal the rift between her and her adoptive father before flying to New York to begin a new life. But the best laid plans have a funny way of falling apart. Suddenly, vampires are hunting her with a ferocity that takes her breath away and Erik is her only ally. Or is he? Can she really trust this sexy, broad-shouldered vampire when her family has spent their entire lives ridding the world of them?
