Summary
Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer concludes its eighth season, only in comics! This hardcover edition collects Twilight and Last Gleaming, the seventh and eighth arcs of Season 8, along with the one-shot Riley. The identity of Season 8's Big Bad is revealed in Buffy and Twilight's second major encounter. As the story crosses through time and space, the future of the world is changed and Twilight's master plan is revealed. In the aftermath, Buffy realizes she is in a fight to save Earth and all of humanity. Taking the action home to Sunnydale, the Slayer reunites with Angel and Spike, searching for the one thing that can save the world from impending doom. The Slayer army crumbles in a losing battle to hold the line, and one in their ranks is irretrievably lost as Buffy desperately scrambles to end the violence and save mankind.
