Summary
Paul Sheldon is a best-selling novelist who is on his way home from his Colorado retreat after completing his latest book. He doesn't remember the blinding blizzard that sent his car spinning off the road. Paul is critically injured, but is rescued by former nurse Annie Wilkes, who happens to be Paul's 'number one fan.' Annie takes Paul back to her house in the mountains, and he finds himself crippled, drugged and at her mercy. Unfortunately for Paul, Annie is a psychopath and when she discovers that Paul has killed of the heroine in her favorite novel series, her reaction leaves Paul shattered
