Summary

In Mission Creek, Ruel Starrett, who has wanted to own his own ranch for years, finally manages to purchase an interest in the Spade Ranch from its new owner, Susanna Dalhart. Starrett?s first move is to fire foreman Zack Markley, who quashed Starrett?s earlier attempt to buy into the ranch, and install his own son, Rex, in his place. But Rex doesn?t want the job, and Zack, who claims legal entitlement to 20,000 acres of the ranch?s prime land, has no intention of going anywhere.
